If one of your promises is to take better care of your skin in the new year, our staff is right there with you. Here’s how to achieve your healthy skin care resolutions in 2016.
"I promise to wear my masks.”
If you need help remembering to add a weekly mask to your routine, you’re not alone. Bethany, one of our patient coordinators, has her basic routine down but wants to try adding a mask to her regimen.
“My skin care resolution is to use a facial mask at least once a week,” she says. “I’ll switch up the mask depending on how my skin is feeling.”
If your resolution is to mask weekly, follow Bethany’s lead. When her complexion is feeling parched this winter, she’ll be trying SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Masque to replenish her skin’s moisture.
"I promise to focus on my body skin care.”
Maybe your resolution for the new year is to focus a little more on the skin below the neck. Kristen, one of our aestheticians, is right there with you.
“This year I’m going to make sure that I exfoliate my body more,” she says. “I also want to make sure that I apply body oils to ensure that my skin retains moisture and a healthy glow.”
Begin your new resolution with an exfoliating scrub such as Jan Marini Bioglycolic Resurfacing Body Scrub followed by Dr. Hauschka Rose Nurturing Body Oil.These two products will soften, smooth and hydrate skin everywhere on the body.
"I promise to take care of my skin at the gym.”
Your resolution to exercise more goes hand in hand with your resolution to take care of your skin at the gym. Just like you, Jenna, one of our graphic designers, will be making an effort to focus on gym skin care this year.
“I need to make sure that I wash my face before and after every workout,” she says.
Makeup wipes are the easiest way to fulfill this resolution. Keep Klorane Soothing Face and Eye Makeup Removal Wipes with Cornflower in your gym bag and use a wipe before and after every spin class, cardio session and yoga practice.
"I promise to get a head start on anti-aging.”
It may not seem like it now since you aren’t seeing fine lines and wrinkles yet, but the sooner you start an anti-aging regimen, the better. If this is your resolution for 2016, begin by adding a retinol product to your routine like Apple, one of our front desk coordinators.
“My skin care resolution is to start using a retinol product every night to help with my overall skin tone, texture, fine lines and wrinkles,” she says.
Use Obagi360 Retinol 0.5 every night to help fade and prevent signs of aging.
