The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved LATISSE® as a prescription treatment eyelash growth. LATISSE® is the first and only science-based treatment approved by the FDA to enhance eyelash prominence as measured by increases in length, thickness and darkness of eyelashes. Is LATISSE® safe and effective?
LATISSE® has been proven to be safe and effective in clinical trials. While LATISSE® is a new treatment in eyelash growth, it was developed through years of research by Allergan, a pharmaceutical leader with over 60 years of expertise in prescription eye care products
Some common side effects after using LATISSE® are eye redness or itching. There are other, less common side effects, which include skin darkening, eye irritation, dryness, or redness of the eyelids. However, these side effects typically occur either in the eye or on the skin close to where LATISSE® is applied. Some users found that these side effects went away once they became accustomed to the product or began applying it correctly.
Apply LATISSE® nightly for longer, fuller eyelashes.
You will achieve the best eyelash growth results with LATISSE® by establishing a consistent routine for accurate application. LATISSE® needs to be applied once nightly. If you miss a dose, simply continue your routine and apply the next evening. Using LATISSE® more than once a day will not increase eyelash growth more than daily use.
LATISSE® is easy to use, FDA approved and effective. Patients in a clinical trial saw results gradually over time (starting at 4 weeks with full results after 16 weeks). Once you begin treatment, you may see results in as little as 4 weeks, but you must continue applying the treatment each night to see the most dramatic eyelash growth.
