Psoriasis is a persistent skin disease wherein the skin becomes inflamed, with red, thickened areas and silvery scales, most often on the scalp, elbows, knees, and lower back. Patients with this chronic skin condition need not suffer! Dr. Schlessinger has participated in studies involving medications and treatments for psoriasis, and studies are ongoing in our clinic at this time on psoriasis. Additionally, we offer medical light therapy (PUVA and UVB treatments) for this condition.
