I plan on using this cream long term

I have fairly sensitive skin which is dry and peels due to my use of Retin A ointment. I had been searching forever for the right facial moisturizer to use during our colder months. I tried virtually all of Avene's creams (I like that they are geared for sensitive skin use) and ultimately settled on XERACALM AD Lipid Replenishing Cream. It is a plus that this particular line of Avene's is recommended for people with eczema, since it is approved for its efficacy and tolerance in nourishing and calming dry, itchy skin. Great for Retin A users in my opinion. The cream glides on smoothly and feels creamy and rich but fairly thin. I have zero peeling (yeah!). It would be a bit heavy to use during the summer months though and will switch to a even lighter moisturizer for our humid summers.

Nighttime Must-have for Dry, Unhappy Skin

The Avene XeraCalm AD Lipid-Replenishing Cream is a must-have for my dry (usually unhappy skin). As I have gotten older, my skin has become drier and itchier (especially on my shins and forearms). I use the Avene XeraCalm at night because it is so thick and nourishing. When I wake up, my skin is calm and hydrated. It is a little too thick for daytime, and I don't wear it when I am working out because it tends to pill when I sweat. I love that it has no fragrance.

Amazing for body and face

I bought this on the recommendation from a dermatologist I follow on YouTube and used it on my dry itchy skin in winter and it really works to stop the itchy for most of the day. It is also very moisturizing. I also found it works great on my face at night after using retinal, or if it is extra dry. No breakouts either, from using on my face. Its is very economical too, especially in the larger size.

The search is over!

Recently I have been having disruptively dry skin. By the end of the work day, I will notice skin flaking or my skin will feel uncomfortable and a bit itchy. This is the ONLY lotion that fixes that for both my face and body. Not only that, but it soothes any itching I might be struggling with. Difficult to squeeze bottle

I love this cream but I'm not a fan of the packing style. I don't have any mobility issues or health conditions that affect my hands. Nevertheless it's very uncomfortable to be squeezing this tube to be able to use it. If you don't want this avoid the product because there's no way to get the lid out and/or open the tube any other way. I've been buying Avene products for decades and have no idea why they created this amazing product in such a challenging package. It's like dealing with a classic tube of toothpaste only 3 times larger...The cream is magnificent, thick and emollient. I've used it to help heal crack feet, over-washed hands, occasional scars after the cats have scratched my legs and as weekly facial treatments. It works beautifully restoring elasticity, aiding with itching and protecting the outer skin layers. It also has a nice smell and it lasts a long time because a little goes a long way. I recommend it for adults and I'm guessing it could also be used for babies and kids' minor skin irritations. When Avene decides to sell it on a "normal" bottle/tube then it would be a five star for me.
