This universal nude primer helps instantly blur imperfections, minimize blemishes and reduce the appearance of large pores to create a more even skin tone while 4.5% zinc oxide and 5.0% titanium dioxide keep skin safe from harmful UV rays.

In addition to protecting and perfecting, this primer controls oil and shine. Good Primer

I’ve been using this primer for years and can’t find a better one. It can be worn alone, but I use the Colorescience mineral foundation over it. It goes on easy and provides sun protection plus helps with oil control. The only downside I’ve had is the pump on the bottle doesn’t always work and can take some manipulation/time to get it working properly, so packaging could be better.

Helps keep my makeup looking great

I use this more in the summer than in winter when my skin tends to be drier. In warmer months, this is the perfect primer to keep your foundation looking fresh. If you have oily skin, this is a clean, effective primer that will prevent you from looking as if your makeup is melting halfway through the day. I've been using this primer for years and whenever I try a different mattifying primer I'm disappointed because they make my face look cakey. Colorescience goes on like silk and stays put.

Never lets me down

I have worn this product for years. It’s not rare at all for me to get questioned on how my makeup stays looking fresh. But it was really tested when I was recently at my goddaughter’s outdoor wedding. I live in a hot, humid climate that is tough on makeup, especially in formal clothing. But, this primer never lets me down. No matter how much I “glow”(southern girl for “sweat”) as long as I pat gently, & don’t rub, my makeup remains flawless. Photos started at 4:00 in the afternoon. The last one that got snapped of me was on the dance floor after midnight. It was fun to still look put together after such a big day with all the feels of a wedding gone perfect. Other than a lip refresh through the night, I never touched my face. The bonus is that it feels so lite on my skin, never cakes or creases, and keeps the aging rays of the sun at bay. I truly love this product. I think you will too.

It does what it says

I have very oily skin and typically can’t use anything that is mattifying because I will break out. This stuff is impressive and is my go to primer now. It keeps me from getting oily, keeps my makeup in place and doesn’t break me out. Plus it has SPF which is a must. I use it with the ColoreScience powder foundation and love it!

OK without makeup, but not so smooth under it

I got this for my husband to use to even out his skin, and he seems to like it OK. When I use it, I find that it doesn't quite go on as smoothly as I want it to when wearing under makeup. If you don't need this with makeup, I'd say go for it, but if you are using it as a primer, it is not my favorite.

Vendor is Super but Product has changed - not for the better

The vendor, LovelySkin was awesome. The free samples they offered were terrific, too. However, the new version of what used to be Colorscience Skin Calming Primer is not as good as the original! I don't like that scent has been added. I am also not as happy with the consistency of the new product. I'd say, bring back the original Skin Calming Primer.

I like the smell and consistency of this primer. Feels very velvety. Makeup application is more difficult...

This primer goes on nicely and feels very light on the skin, but it makes the application of liquid foundation a frustrating and difficult task. It almost feels as though you are applying foundation on a glue-like surface, rather than a smooth surface that other primers produce. Using this primer wastes more time on makeup application, and also wastes more foundation in the process. And although it produces a matte finish, it is no more mattifying than other primers on the market. It is so "sticky" that when I blot my face with tissue to soak up oil, minute remnants of tissue get stuck to my face. Perhaps this primer is better-suited for those who wear loose mineral and powder foundations.
