Foundation?

I ordered this item after receiving samples from LovelySkin. I think the product I received is heavier in coverage than the samples that I fell in love with. It truly is a foundation, as opposed to a tinted sunscreen. The coverage is good, but way to heavy for me. I'm not a wearer of foundation in the first place.

Loyal customer - reconsidering this product

I've been using this product for several years as originally liked the idea of makeup combined with sunscreen and often need more coverage than a tinted sunscreen. Recently retired, I have been wearing makeup less at home and was surprised that after returning from a 2-week vacation where I wore this every day, my pores have been clogged and I'm trying to recover from very broken out skin. Before purchasing again, I will take a look at noncomedogenic alternatives.

Smears across skin and stinks into pores/fine lines

I really wanted to like this product. I don't know if it's my skin type being mature or what, but this product never really sets on my skin. It sort of floats around the surface and makes the coverage inconsistent. It highlights and clings to any dry/flakey/scaley areas and seems to settle into every large pore and fine line accentuating it. I'm still looking for the holy grail of SPF/tint that feels good in the skin, looks good and had the right color match for me. On to the next as this one was not it.

Not good for deep pores

I liked the sample I received so I bought the full size. The texture is really nice and the coverage and color (light) is just right for me. However, I have really deep pores and this is getting stuck in them. I have to really rub it in to get a smooth finish. I don't usually return things, but for this price I don't want to "make it work"

Light weight coverage

I really like this for summer since it has a dryer finish to it than my usual tinted moisturizer. This is a light coverage whipped foundation and offers some sun protection. I don’t use moisturizer under it, but in the winter I will likely switch back to my tinted moisturizer.

No thanks

I have healthy, mature skin and have been using Colorscience Flex Sunforgettable Face Shield nearly everyday for years. The dewy finish is very flattering, with great coverage and a dewy finish. Gives my skin a young, fresh glow. I recently had several weddings to attend, two of which were outdoors in the hot Texas sun, so waterproof would be a plus. I wanted to find a classy, matte finish foundation for these special occasions and was very excited to find the Tint Du Soleil foundation, with all the great ratings. However, it was a complete bust for me. It’s thick but doesn’t actually cover discolorations in my skin, and worse, it amplifies every pore and every wrinkle with a chalky, whitish finish. I even tried two layers to see if I could get a better blend over my skin, but I still couldn’t get a smooth, flawless coverage that I’ve come to expect out of the Colorscience line. Incredibly disappointed in this product and baffled by all the good ratings. I wish it would’ve worked for me but I’ll have to keep searching for the perfect foundation. This one is definitely not it.
