Not my favorite!

I got this because I always mix a few drops of oil with moisturizer & sunscreen in my morning routine, and of course due to Retinol 1.0 which was considerably drying out my skin! I like Elemis products in general & this oil is not bad but also not hydrating enough! I truly love rosehip & find it very effective against dryness & for brightness as well, so I might try their rose oil later on…!

Super moisturizing

Adding this oil under my regular moisturizer is saving my winter skin! My skin is somewhat sensitive and prone to rosacea, and this hasn’t caused any reactions. I did learn the hard way that this can cause serums etc. to pill up when the oil is applied on top of them, so now I make sure this oil is my first step.

Winter hydration

My skin gets extra dry during winter, especially since I live in an area that has no humidity. I wanted to try a facial oil to see if it could work where even thick emollient creams could not. This oil has been a great find. It goes on easy, has no offensive odor and has reduced the dryness on my cheeks. I have combination skin and this facial oil has not caused any problems or breakouts. It provides moisture without greasiness. I am on my 3rd bottle and will continue to purchase. While my dry skin is not totally gone it is significantly better than it has ever been in this cold, dry climate.

I really like how Elemis facial oil feels on my skin giving it a dewy finish! It absorbs easily in the skin and provides a barrier to keep in moisture important for the winter weather now. The reason I took off one star is its smell. I have had a difficult time getting past its smell, but I am adapting and becoming more used to it over time. The upside of Elemis oil eclipses its smell, I think.

Love this!

I’m a huge fan of this oil! At first I thought it was too oily for my face, but then I started using on my neck and chest. I have a lot of sun damage on my chest and nothing seemed to work. This actually keeps my skin moisturized all night and has made a big difference to my skin. I don’t even see those horrible lines on my chest when I wake up! If you apply a lot it won't work

After moving to a dessert climate I was desperate to nourish my skin. My skin was completely dehydrated due to the hot outside-climate and the lack of humidity inside my house created by the air conditioning. Being familiar with Elemis I purchased this oil hoping to upgrade the skin on my face and hands. It comes in a glass bottle and has a grassy-earthy smell which I completely love. For me is a direct reminder of the oil's ingredients. However, if you're looking for a subtle scent or one that would faint fast I believe this is not for you. I didn't achieve the results I wanted neither or my face nor in my hands. Nevertheless, I understand that it was not due to a lack of performance of the oil, it was just that I didn't apply it the right way. I over-applied it and as a result the product couldn't get fully absorbed into my skin. I used the whole bottle and it improved my skin: it became a little bit brighter, less inflamed and softer. However, if I would have been patient enough and apply only what's suggested the oil would have penetrated better. I would have avoided the embarrassing "oily face look" and the nourishing effects would have been amplified. I believe that it would have been beneficial (my skin was flaky) to do an exfoliation process prior to adding the Superfood Oil to my regime. My skin would have been cleared of at the outer-dry layer and absorption would have been easier. I'm planning to buy it again and use it sparingly. I recommend it to anyone; just don't apply a lot hoping to get faster results and prepare your skin to get the most benefits.
