I've used this product for a few years because of the ingredient quality and staying power. Having green eyes & dark brown hair, I find that 3 shades work for me: Basic Black for evening lighting and Black Grey or Black Brown to enhance my eye color more softly during the day.

I think Jane Iredale has reformulated their eye pencils, as they are softer and creamier than they used to be. In the past, they would crumble when you tried to use them and I have not had that problem with the last two pencils I purchased. I love them for tightlining and they don't irritate my eyes or shed particles into them.
