This soap-free foaming gel cleanser contains mandelic acid to gently yet effectively exfoliate oily skin. In addition to mandelic acid, this clarifying cleanser also contains salicylic acid to improve skin's texture, refine pores and wash away excess oil and problematic bacteria while gluconolactone provides gentle exfoliation.

Doesn't foam very well

I've come to a stage where I really want my cleansers to foam nicely, and this product is just not the one. When I rub it between my palm it also has a sticky but slippery feel. It rinses off clean and easy though.

Very effective

I've been dealing with stubborn acne into my 30s, and I thought I'd give this cleanser a try. It hasn't worked overnight, but over the course of about a month, my skin has really cleared up. I only use it at night when I'm taking off all my make up, but it seems to have really done the trick. Initially it was a little drying, so I used it every other night for the first two weeks. A little goes a long way. I will probably be able to get 4-5 months of use from one tube.

Does the job

I have been a long time user of Neostrata products. The facial cleanser I normally use was discontinued and was replaced with this product. It seems to be working, but I think it is a little thicker and therefore I don''t need to use as much. My only complaint is that I wish it came in a pump dispenser, which makes for easier control of the amount used. I have very sensitive skin - adult acne prone and also allergic/sensitive to many product ingredients - and have had no issues with any of the Neostrata line products, which were recommended by my dermatologist. Highly recommend this company.

I love that this is a foaming cleanser, and my skin feels very clean after washing with it. However it can make my skin feel a little dry in some areas of my face. Also, it contains powerful ingredients, and I think it would be a great option for adult acne.
