A little unsure

I have been using another product for years, and for some reason, the treatment cream is unavailable and has been for a while, which is why I looked for another product which has 7% benzoyl peroxide. So, I think I am in a unique situation because I have relied heavily on another product for 15 years. I expected some challenges. I have acne issues that were well controlled with the other product and since I switched I now have quite a few cysts. I don't know if its the product or the switch, but I had to discontinue the product after the 3rd cyst. So my review is probably more undecided, but if you are in same boat I felt it was mentioning there aren't very many 7% BP products on the market.

On the fence

I’m going through menopause and my skin has been very unpredictable. The active ingredient in this is different than I usually use—salicylic acid—so thought I’d give it a try. I can’t say that I got much in the way of results—but it’s possible that the hormonal nature of my breakouts are just no match for this formula!

Very Drying!

I was first introduced to OC8 by my dermatologist who suggested I try the mattifying gel (unmedicated) for oily skin. When I saw this OC8 gel on LovelySkin I thought I would get the best of both worlds with the addition of the 7% benzoyl peroxide but it was too drying for my skin and left a whitish film. First major skin care product fail in awhile.

Multitasks as a primer for oily skin

Not only does a nice job of keeping skin clear, but it's the best BP product I've found that doesn't leave a film plus keeps oil at bay. Does a better job as an oily skin primer than any actual primers I've tried. I use this on my T-zone under my powder foundation. I only have to blot 1 or 2 times during the day now, and it's nowhere near as oily as without. Normally I have to blot hourly.

Only a dab will do!

The product works really well, but does need be reapplied throughout the day for my oily face. Just a smal amount really helps and thus the product will last a long time.
