I'm thrilled that my dermatologist recommended this product. Working often with clay and plaster, (sometimes just can't deal with gloves) has left my hands and nails in despair. This product is not a miracle, but it is the best I've ever tried. She suggested using this along with Dermanail...and it has helped. Don't bother with the small size, because it is pricey and there isn't much in the container. The 8 oz is a lot of product and will last a long time. Don't hesitate. Rich, long-lasting, effective stuff.

Every winter my hands dry out and occasionally split and bleed.. This year my fingernails began splitting. i wash my hands frequently. My dermatologist said to apply hand cream every time I wash my hands. She recommended Cutemol and Dermanail. Cutemol is thick and sticky. I use a generous amount of it at bedtime with cotton gloves and the improvement in my hands was dramatic and quick. I have not had any bleeding or skin splitting since I began using it. Since the texture is so sticky, I was not using it during the day but was using other hand creams. I find now that using a small amount during the day keeps my hands and nails feeling good without the stickiness. I am so pleased with the results I will continue to use it during the warmer months since I often swim., but I may not need to use it with gloves at night year round. My fingernails are improving too but that takes longer since it can take 6 months for them to grow out and the splitting is at the tips. Cūtemol Emollient Cream is very thick, almost a paste, and would be difficult to spread over large areas of skin. It's best for small areas like dried out fingernails, calloused heels and patches of eczema. The manufacturer recommends applying to damp skin if you want to moisturize your hands but avoid greasy palms. I use it on my fingernails and hands before bed. It moisturizes nails like no other product I've seen. For cracked skin on hands this cream would probably not irritate. There is a tiny bit of scent, but it is not fragranced.

This is definitely more of a medicinal healing product than a cosmetic one. I live in a semi-tropical climate and wear sandals most of the time. I used to be embarrassed because my heels were as rough and tough as a horse's hooves. They always looked dirty. In just a few overnight applications of Cutemol, my feet softened and my heels became manageable. No more cracked and dirty-looking feet. I've continued to use Cutemol, full strength, on my feet a few times a week for decades. When I do, I wear toeless socks (available online) to protect my bed linen. Yes, the cream is very thick, but that's one reason, I suppose, that it works so well. As for my hands, I follow Cutemol's directions by rubbing in a dab of the cream into my hands. Next I run a little water over them and massage again. I apply any excess to my arms and neck before drying my hands. I don't know why thinning out the cream this way doesn't diminish its effectiveness, but it doesn't. And the treatments lasts even after I've washed dishes. True, I am not digging in my garden anymore, and I've never wrangled horses or farmed., but I still regard Cutemol as a miracle skin cream.
