I've been using AM Therapy for 6 years, and decided to try PM Therapy. Unfortunately, this product was extremely irritating to my skin, causing redness, burning, and break-outs. I don't think this product is suitable for sensitive skin.

Caused dryness and burning
I have been looking for a less expensive daily moisturizer because I go through my usual - and expensive - moisturizer very quickly. I selected this product based on the brand's strong reputation and the large number of positive reviews. I used it in the morning and evening for one week. In the morning, I applied some over a serum that I've used for 5+ years, and then applied my usual sunscreen. In the evening, I applied over my retinoid, which I've been using for over 15 years and am extremely acclimated to. I love the feel of this lotion. It's emollient but dries nicely and doesn't pill under sunscreen. Unfortunately, it stung whenever I applied it. I should've heeded that warning and stopped using it immediately. I continued using it, though, and after about three days, my skin had become bright red with angry, dry patches of cracked skin. I developed red bumps on my forehead and cheekbones. I continued using it for about two days until my skin became so painfully tight, dry, and cracked that I couldn't go on. My face felt like I had windburn, a rash, and an acne breakout all at once. So, I stopped using it, reverted to my old moisturizer, and within two days my skin returned to normal. It appears that I have a sensitivity to this moisturizer. It's too bad because I like the packaging, the feel of the lotion, and the price point.

I’m a faithful user of a different product but when it was on back order I decide to try this in the interim. I would not purchase this product again. It made my face feel greasy but not moisturized. It pilled under my makeup so issuing it during the day wasn’t even an option.

Of all the Elta MD products I have tried this is my least favorite. I have a puffy or swollen look to my face after I wake up in am. Some people may like this. I do not. I will never purchase again. I will continue with the Barrier Renewal Complex as my evening moisturizer.
