I was looking for a ‘body’ spray for sun protection and love Elta products The aerosol spray is a little difficult to maneuver when you want to spray it sideways, as on arms. It works better when can is held straight up but, either way, the nozzle is stiff and difficult to depress. The spray goes on white but does settle in to your skin tone.

I purchased this product for myself and for my husband. I love the formula. I would give it 5 stars based on the formula. It does not come out overly greasy like so many of the spray formulas do. It also doesn’t leave me white or chalky. My husband uses it to spray his bald spot so he really appreciates that it isn’t too greasy on his scalp. However, I will say it doesn’t spray in the most diffuse way. It comes out a bit more concentrated than I’d prefer, but I feel like that isn’t too big of an issue. I just spread it about with my hands.

I would have given this product a 5+ but I find it hard to spray. The nozzle is hard to depress. I use this on my face and find it doesn't make my other products pill which is great. Cream sunscreen make everything pill on my skin no matter how I apply it. I have combination skin and over the age of 55. The spray makes it easier to apply to whole face including my ears and neck area.

Convenient but go through quickly
I've used both the regular and spray versions of EltaMD sunscreens. What I like about the spray is it's ease to apply, however, I think I went through a bottle after 6-7 full-body applications. It also has a smell that I don't prefer (the regular one has almost no smell). Lastly, it is white in color so you still have to rub and spread it on your skin as opposed to spray and go. Just a few details in case you're deciding between the two options.

This is my first time using the EltaMD UV Aero - Broad Spectrum Continuous Spray. The product does not stain my clothes and is easily absorbed My only complaint is the container spray is difficult to handle at times. I am an older mature woman who has a bit of arthritis in one of my hands. I can use the SPF 45 spray on some of me but have to spray the contents into my hands and then apply this product on the rest of me. It does feel good and is absorbed into the skin quickly.

Elta is our family favorite sunscreen. This one is super easy to apply and comes in a large bottle. We can swim for hours, and it does not come off. I would swear the staying power is better than grocery store sunscreens. The downside of this sunscreen is that it can leave a whitish residue (we notice it most around the neck) if you apply too much or do not rub it in well. I have also bought a few bottles that end up with a broken nozzle that end up in the trash.
