Good sunscreen, a little oily
I do like this sunscreen, it is good for my sensitive skin but is a little oily. I think it would be best for either drier skin or drier climates. I live in Portland, OR and it’s more oily than I’d like but I’ve been able to make it work with a mattefying primer over it before putting on foundation, or setting that combo with a nice powder. These combos wear well together. I am wearing this on a trip in Nevada and California now, which are much dryer than Portland and it doesn’t seem as oily. Absorbs into the skin a bit better in this drier climate. For reference, I have rosacea prone, sensitive skin that is normal - combination . I get oily in my tzone throughout the day but cheeks are pretty dry. Skin gets dry when in drier climates and in winter when running the heat all day. I this would be good for winter too.

Epionce Ultra Shield
It’s perhaps unfair to compare this product with my go-to facial spf 45 (zinc + octinoxate) that’s been discontinued. The Epionce Ultra Shield spf 50 does have the benefit of more spf. But the ratio of chemical versus physical actives seems to favor the chemical. My skin loves the healing and brightening effects of zinc; this product irritates my eyes, even though I did not apply it near my eyes. It also reddened my skin on application. Because of its thinner and I guess oilier texture, my makeup foundation didn’t provide good coverage. It won’t go to waste—I’ll use it on my body as I continue to find a good replacement for my previous HG sunscreen.

I do like this sunscreen, except that it makes my face incredibly shiny after use no matter how much I use, and for some reason it dries my skin out around my nose and mouth, but nowhere else. So now I'm using it for my neck, hands, etc, anywhere I need it and it's perfect everywhere else, just not on my face. Great price point, no white cast for me.

I love this sunscreen. I love that it's water resistant. I love the finish, which is dewy but not shiny or sticky. I love that it's totally sheer with no white cast. I'm taking off a star because Epionce's tinted sunscreen is a tad more lovely - the convenience of the pump is so nice, and I love how it feels going on. I can't use the tinted one because the color is too dark for me. This one is a pretty close second, though!

I’ve purchased this several times. It works so well with other brands AND the price point is great! The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because when ever the bottle is a third of the way used it starts the change in texture, almost looking like the texture of cottage cheese and becomes very runny. Significantly dewy, balmy finish okay for dry skin
For a zinc oxide/chemical sunscreen blend, I like that this one has a slightly higher zinc oxide content than some others that I have used. Surprisingly, the white color disappears completely into my light-medium skin most leave at least a slight trace of white but not this one. Though the white color melts into my skin, and the lotion spreads easily (not slippery, not sticky), there is a significant shiny residue with a balmy feel. If I am leaving the house, I have to blot the shine and apply a bit of loose powder. As a beginner tretinoin user, I thought that the balmy aspect would prevent any flakes or peeling, but no, some flakes still occur. I still use it because it hydrates and feels comfortable on my sensitive skin. No eye irritation from this, either. When the weather turns very hot and humid where I am, I might switch to something else and put this away for the cold winter.

This product is very lightweight and doesn’t leave any white cast. As soon as you apply it, the white fades instantly. It is non-greasy, but I find issue with the shine or dewy look. For us men, it would be awesome if this lightweight quick absorbing sunscreen is matte finish.
