I am mid sixties, an avid outdoors person with a light complexion and very sensitive skin. Even products claiming to be "free" of anything that might irritate my skin didnt quite keep it calm. I have been a loose mineral powder user for years. But, wondering if it would be good to switch it up with something less likely to accentuate fine lines. I think the product is good but way too light. I tried the light/medium and I look like a ghost. Theres absolutely no glow to my skin at all so I mix it with my regular foundation. Its thick, but mixed with my foundation that has a nice tint to it, it works. I would not buy it again because of the fact that it washes me out completely, and also there is an unpleasant odor to the product. I keep getting whiffs of it during the few hours after application. If I could give it 2 1/2 stars, I would. I think if it was the right tone it might be better but Im not going to purchase it again.

Something about this formula makes the oily Tzone SHINE in less than 10 minutes after putting this product on. It shines to the point where you need serious Kaolin powder. This product should come in several options including for oily/acne skin type. The J Iredale Tinted Moisturizer doesnt shine, but its clunky, it shows off the dry patches and doesnt cover the oily ones. I still have hope for this brand as it is noncomedogenic and irritant free.

I have tried two different colors, thinking they were the right color. It seems to appear lighter in color on my face than the samples show. I am olive complexed, 54 yr. old and do not have great skin. The coverage is extremely full and a little goes a long way. I think I need to go to the next darker shade as this one is too light for me, even as a winter color. I do have oily skin and this seems to make it oilier, which is disappointing to me. However, when I want to look my absolute best, I will choose to use this on special occassions for that perfect face look and blot more often.

Its a great "foundation" to your makeup regimen. I love how it conceals all blemishes and even sun spots but be careful not to use too much. All thats needed is a dab, itll give coverage to your entire face. It goes on heavy but once its spread out, its great. You may have to play around with amount, initially, but just be conservative.

There is a learning curve for this BB cream, but it is worth practicing, I promise! Check the video (really short) in addition to the printed instructions from Iredale -- it makes a huge difference in the end result. I am really, really old compared to most of the people who will read this, but I still have oily skin and enlarged pores. Applied correctly, with Iredale powder, this product lasts for me. I have always used foundation, and this is the first BB that has given me the coverage -- although you dond need much -- I am comfortable with.

I would suggest viewing the online video about how to apply as that helped me as the consistency of the foundation is much thicker than I had used in the past. This stuff is amazing!! Covers dark circles, blemishes, even a bit of hair line (gross, I know- but some of us were blessed with Bear qualities :) ) . This is my "GO-TO" make-up when I need to look flawless in little to no time! It is a bit heavier than my usual powder JID makeup-but is needed to cover not so perfect areas. I received the BB 5 as a sample & it made me a little pale, so I decided to order the BB 7 & it made me a little more orange than my natural skin. So to fix this, I just put a small bit of the "natural" powder over to blend into my natural color. I love this BB cream because it has SPF in it & covers without leaving creases. I do use a bit of Circle Delete if I have a day where I didnt get much sleep.. and just a hint of blush.. but other than that-- this stuff does it all! Love this company because it never breaks me out and feels great on my skin! Highly recommend! (hint- you can make it darker or lighter just depending on the amount of coverage you use-- so if it does tend to make you look more orange or too pale-- just stretch the color a bit to blend with your natural skin)
