I purchased this on the recommendation of an aesthetic nurse for reduction in pore size. I loved this cleanser when I first started using it. My face felt really clean and I noticed smaller pores. Fast forward a couple of weeks and I started breaking out in painful cysts on my chin and cheekbone area. Not sure why this happened after using it nightly for two weeks but I plan to try it again but will use it sporadically. The Clenziderm toner was also recommended but I will wait to purchase that.

Doesn't Remove Makeup
I'm not very happy with this purchase for various reasons. First, it doesn't later up much. Second, it doesn't remove dirt, oil or make-up as written on the product description. For it to feel squeaky clean, I have to reapply the cleanser and use my face brush. And third, it thought it was rather pricy for the small 4 oz bottle you get. I do like that it contains 2% salicylic acid but if doesn't remove all impurities, than it's pointless.

Not sure that this cleanser is any better than our $6 acne cleanser with the same percent salicylic acid. Seems like for our tween daughter, the Obagi 1.0 at night along with cheap acne cleanser and 10% benzoyl peroxide creams in the a.m. have worked best for her AND for my periodic adult acne. However, I love the Clenziderm toner for the tingle and pore tightening.

This wasn't a good cleanser for me. It's quite strong and I suppose I have sensitive skin so I couldn't tolerate it. I had to return it unfortunately. It could definitely be a good fit for someone who doesn't have sensitive skin. It smells minty (from the menthol) and foams nicely.

I gave this product a one star, simply because the Clenziderm line was completely too strong for my skin. I have oily skin, with hyperpigmentation, now if you have acne, this is the product for you. I suffer from hyperpigmentation, so I selected the incorrect product. But I like the Obagi line, I am now using Vitamin C Obagi products, and I'm satisfied.
