Bad allergic reaction
I wanted to use something that was hydroquinone free during my breaks from hydroquinone, so ordered this. This made my skin itch and face and eyes puff up to the point that I looked unrecognizable. I couldn't leave the house for 3 days due to this embarrassing puffer fish look. I've never had sensitive skin or had allergies, but apparently a few others have been allergic to an ingredient in this. I am requesting to return it.

What a disappointment - I considered and researched this product for quite awhile. After pulling the trigger, I was excited about giving it a try. It was advertised as hydroquinone free and my dermatologist suggested I try Obagi Nu-Derm Fx. After 2 days of using I noticed I was scratching my cheeks alot, then I noticed hives on my cheek bones and the sides of my face. I stopped using and called my derm. She said she had "no idea" why I was having the problem, other than I must be allergic to an ingredient in it. Sure enough, I found on the bottle (and later on the LS website) "Contains sodium metabisulfite, a sulfite that may cause allergic-type reactions including anaphylactic symptoms and life-threatening or less severe asthmatic episodes in certain susceptible people. The overall prevalence of sulfite sensitivity in the general population is unknown and probably low. Sulfite sensitivity is seen more frequently in asthmatic than in nonasthmatic people." I don't have Asthma - but there you are.

Don't waste your money or time!
I bought this with strong skepticism because many physicians tell you that sunspots (or brown spots) cannot be removed with any creams. I read all the reviews so I took a chance, as Doctors are NOT always thinking of one's best interest..... I used the product regularly and as advised but it's been ~ 1 month or slightly over and still no change in the appearance of the sunspots I have on my face.

I used Clear for many years to keep my hyperpigmentation at bay. It worked beautifully! When it was no longer sold on the site, I tried the Clear FX for at least 6 months. It simply doesn’t work at all. I tried with the Blend Fx to improve potency. Nothing worked. I had to revert to medical Obagi prescription to help.

When I ordered, the hydroquinone ingredient was still available, and I asked for that one because I had used it for years. So when I received the product, I didn't notice that I was sent the one with the new ingredients. After using it one time, my face looks like a disaster! Spots, rash, blotchiness, burning. Feels and looks like I got a terrible sunburn. I can't keep enough moisturizer on it to keep from hurting. That's when I looked at the bottle and discovered I was sent the new ingredient list bottle. Wish I could find the receipt. You would hear from me directly, instead of through a review!! Never again!
