I started this with my other Skinmedica products in November. It goes on with a tingling feeling which feels good. I got this to even out my skin all over only after I was assured that it wouldnt lighten my whole face. It seems to be doing just that taking away the dark spots and sun damage.

Stick with Hydroquione
The only reason why I continue using this product is it smells amazing. However, it is very expensive and results just arent happening. I have been told that it takes about 3 months to get to the same efficacy as Hydroquione. Havent seen that and I am on my second bottle. I have now paired it up with Hydroquione and am finally seeing results on the sunspots on my chest. Good idea, great smell, but just not that active.

I'm 26 years old and already take very good care of my skin--wearing sunscreen daily and using tretinoin creme--prior to starting Lytera. I received a small sample in the mail and, I must admit, I initially liked the product because it has a nice cinnamon smell, good application. I've been in the skin care industry for a long time, and I'm finally excited to report amazing results! I have dry/dull skin and I battle hard water where I live. After using Lytera for only 2-3 weeks, I noticed a visible improvement with the brightness of my complexion! My skin was glowing! After continued use day and night my freckles and acne scars were visibly diminished, and I'm almost to the point of only using a tinted moisturizer for foundation! Isn't that what we are all looking for?? I would highly suggest this product to those of you looking for a Hydroquinone alternative. The product does contain Retinol, so I suggest applying eye cream after cleansing first then the Lytera from hair line to the bottom of your throat. I hope you'll be just as pleased as I was! Have been using for about a week and so far I am seeing a difference... It is slight, but I can see some lightening of my dark patches of melasma. Am hopeful I will see more as time progresses.
