Not great for my sensitive skin

I love using this serum, personally I enjoy the smell and it does feel calming when I apply it. I have very sensitive skin and rosacea and this was recommended by my derm. But I do notice that it tends to break me out, so I will not be repurchasing.

On Fire

I use Skinceuticals products exclusively - 11 products carefully curated. I purchased this item, did the reccomended patch test for 2 days, no reaction. The first night I used a thin layer and the next morning my skin was fine. I have normal, mature skin. I skipped a night just because when I introduce a new product, I err on the side of caution. The next night I applied to face, neck and chest and woke up with a slightly red patch of irritation on my neck - I’ve never had a reaction from a skincare product in 58 years and it was very minor. I waited two days and the slightly red patch was gone so applied product to face, neck and chest and I woke up that morning on fire. My face was fine, but my neck and chest were burning like nothing I’ve ever felt. It was painful and itched like the devil. I didn’t know what to do, nothing helped. Then the blisters came and I was out of my mind with pain and fire. They were oozing and painful- it’s wicked pain. I didn’t know how to find relief - ice was the only somewhat relief I could get. I love this product line and spend thousands a year. I would approach including this product to your routine with an abundance of caution. As I stated, I tolerate every other product fine. I don’t know what ingredient is causing this. It’s the strangest thing - it’s supposed to be soothing, but it did not work out well for me. I see my derm tomorrow and I’ll see what he says

Nice serum

I’ve been using this 4-5 months. I have mild rosacea and hoped it would reduce my redness. It has helped a bit and was non-irritating. I’ve continued to explore other options including IPL and V beam for rosacea and although I plan to continue Phyto Corrective in the near future, I’m not sure it will be a permanent feature of my skin care routine. That probably speaks more to the success of other treatments than it does about the efficacy of this serum. In short, it has been only a part of the answer for my redness.
