I bought this to use as part of my "workday" routine. Because most of my lipsticks and lip pencils do not contain any sunscreen, I like to use a lip balm containing UVA+UVB sun protection as a first layer. All of the drugstore-type sunscreen lip balms I've tried had an annoying silicone-slippery finish, or a heavy-duty wax finish--or, they did not have any UVA protection, just an SPF rating for UVB. This Youngblood lip crème works for me! It has the minimum protection that I want for a normal day. My lipsticks and lip pencils layer and meld into it instead of sitting on top of it. Also, it smells and tastes neutral (I hate minty, fruity, sweet, or perfumed lip products). It's a little expensive, but it seems generously-sized, and it works for me.
