Who is an ideal candidate for the Obagi Nu-Derm System (steps 1-6)?
Obagi is typically recommended to those with pigmentation concerns, sun damage and scarring. It is a resurfacing product and is probably the most aggressive product line that we offer. It is normal to experience some peeling, flaking and irritation in the first 6-10 weeks of use, as the product is removing the upper damaged layers of skin. This system is not for sensitive skin types! A prescription form of Retin A is to be used with the Blender in the evening. If you are unable to get a prescription, we offer a variety of substitutes; however, they will not be as strong, but will be less irritating.

How do I use the Obagi Nu-Derm System and in what order?
The Obagi Nu-Derm products are numbered 1-6 to help you know in which order they are to be used, and they will be labeled with either AM, PM or AM/PM. AM – Cleanser, Toner, Clear, Exfoderm, Sunblock / Sunfader PM – Cleanser, Toner, Clear, Blender mixed w/ tretinoin/retin-A

What is the difference in use between the Obagi CLENZIderm, Nu-Derm and C-Rx lines?
We typically recommend the Nu-Derm (steps 1-6) for those who have sun damage, pigmentation or scarring concerns. Once the desired results are achieved with the Nu-Derm, it would be ideal to switch to the C-Rx line, a vitamin C-based line to help keep the damage away. The CLENZIderm would be recommended to someone with acne only.
