About Dr. Schlessinger

Dr. Schlessinger is the only physician in Nebraska who is board certified in dermatology, general cosmetic surgery and pediatrics. Dr. Schlessinger has been in practice since 1992 and he and his wife, Nancy, have two children, Claire and Daniel. All of us at LovelySkin.com are very proud that Dr. Schlessinger was recently elected to be President of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery and has been featured in the New York Times, Glamour and Wall Street Journal among many press mentions for his pioneering work as a dermatology researcher.

Dr. Schlessinger graduated from high school in Irmo, South Carolina, graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island and attended the basic sciences of Medical School at Brown University. He studied his clinical rotations at Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at the University of Alabama Children's Hospital in Birmingham. His dermatology residency was completed at Barnes Hospital at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO, currently the top medical school in the country. He regularly lectures in national review courses and regularly teaches and trains doctors and dermatologists from across the country as well as residents, physician assistants and medical students from both Creighton University and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He has been invited to lecture regularly at the prestigious American Academy of Dermatology conference.

In addition to being consistently voted the Best Cosmetic Surgeon in Omaha and named one of America’s Top Physicians, he is the current president of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, immediate past president of the Nebraska Dermatology Society, a member of the American Board of Dermatology, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Moh's Surgery, American Board of Pediatrics and Metropolitan Omaha Medical Society.
