What is AQUAGOLD® Fine Touch?

AQUAGOLD® Fine Touch is a gold-plated micro-channeling, or micro-injection, system that painlessly delivers anti-aging and skin refining treatments into the dermis, much like microneedling, but with an added benefit. The device is made up of 24k gold needles that are smaller than a hair follicle. These hair-thin needles penetrate the skin to create tiny openings through which skin-rejuvenating serums are introduced. Microneedling only punctures the skin, but doesn’t allow for beneficial treatments within the skin!
Dr. Schlessinger and his associates have done this for over 15 years and have expertise in using the best adjunctive treatments along with AQUAGOLD®. They will determine which solutions make the most sense for you.
This microneedling tool is the first dermal device that treats the signs of aging as it rejuvenates the skin. It takes the classic microneedling process a step further by simultaneously addressing concerns like dryness and fine lines with a targeted treatment. AQUAGOLD® Fine Touch is the perfect finishing touch for your in-office cosmetic treatment.
How does AQUAGOLD® Fine Touch work?

During the procedure, Dr. Schlessinger will cleanse the skin and insert the selected serum into the AQUAGOLD® Fine Touch device. When the device is applied to the treatment area, the tiny needles will penetrate the skin and deliver the serum. The process takes about 30 minutes to complete and patients can safely return to their normal activities without any downtime.
Which treatments can be paired with AQUAGOLD® Fine Touch?

What are the benefits of AQUAGOLD® Fine Touch?

Classic roller techniques can cause microtears in the skin, but AQUAGOLD® Fine Touch is relatively painless. Additionally, since it is a one-time use device (unlike most other microneedling devices) it is completely safe and sterile. This device won’t cause bleeding because it applies the microneedles perpendicular to the skin. The treatment can help shrink pores, improve superficial acne, and brighten the skin. In use with Botox, it can offer improvement in excessive sweating as well as blushing (Botox Drops).
AQUAGOLD® Fine Touch is also innovative in that the device is an individual unit that isn’t reused from person to person. While some microneedling devices have clip on needles, the blood or other skin contents can splash up on the device and that is not easily cleaned and this is the primary reason why we use AQUAGOLD® Fine Touch at Schlessinger MD. This is a huge difference and one that can’t be overemphasized enough due to the risk of transfer of diseases in less regulated environments by less qualified individuals.
