“FixMySkin Healing Balms were my first opportunity to bring a product to market. I started it as a teenager and collaborated with my father and grandfather, eventually bringing them to market,” he says. “Having completed my medical training, being able to work alongside my dad and the entire LovelySkin staff as the new Medical Director is truly special. In this role, I will focus on the medical aspect of the products we develop and sell, evaluating formulations and determining effective skin care routines for our customers.”

Dr. Daniel Schlessinger's extensive training, education, and experience make him a trusted choice for every skin care need.

An Omaha native, Dr. Daniel attended Northwestern University’s prestigious Honors Program in Medical Education with Honors in Classics, followed by medical school at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed a rigorous Preliminary-Medicine internship year at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by a dermatology residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital / Washington University in St. Louis, where he served as chief resident.

He then returned to Northwestern University to complete a dual-accredited fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery as well as cosmetic dermatologic surgery. Dr. Daniel is a practicing board-certified dermatologist, cosmetic surgeon as well as Mohs surgeon at Schlessinger MD and starting in 2025, he will also serve as adjunct faculty in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
