The high-shine formula provides a sheer, natural-looking hint of color with a fresh, hydrating scent and feel, thanks to spearmint essential oil. Peptides help to boost collagen, leaving lips full and smooth. This lip shine also provides broad spectrum sun protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays using 6.6% zinc oxide.

Why are people not talking about this lip SPF!?

I JUST opened this lip gloss and RAN to write a review because I was so impressed. This is literally my favorite SPF product ever. I wasn't expecting much because any lip product with zinc in it tends to look a tiny bit weird (off color, dry texture, thick). However, if I were to try this lip gloss without knowing there was SPF in it, I probably wouldn't have even realized. It looks and feels completely like a normal, non-spf lip gloss. I got the coral color and it's almost the exact color of my lips so it looks very natural which I love. There's a subtle shimmer which I also love. It looks beautiful on. It is very slightly sticky but not enough to be bothersome in my opinion. I really wanted a lip SPF with zinc in it because it provides immediate sun protection, unlike chemical sunscreen products which take 15 minutes to give active sun product. I don't want to have to apply lip SPF 15 minutes before leaving the house because 1. I'm usually in a rush. 2. I feel like lip products are mostly gone after 15 minutes... I have never been happier with an SPF product! It's perfect! I would recommend to anyone

NOT fragrance free. Developed an allergy.

I initially did well with these for day to day lip protection. However, while using these on a trip to a much hotter climate, I unfortunately developed a photoallergic reaction. Meaning that the product now gives me a reproducible allergic reaction when exposed to UV rays. It’s unfortunate that they decided to put limonene in this product, as well as “flavor/aroma” - which could include a number of things. Such ingredients are higher risk for allergy prone skin, especially when exposed to sun, which is how these are intended to be used! We know that fragrance is non essential for good skin care. If anything, it can cause harm, as it did for me. It would be great if Colorescience could please make a fragrance-free lip product. Thank you!

Pretty, Moisturizing, Protecting

I purchased the lip shine in pink. It's difficult to find a moisturizing lip product that's pretty, has good ingredients, and a non-toxic spf. This one has all four! It's very pretty on. It goes on sticky for just a moment, and then is glossy and moist with no stickiness. The glossy quality doesn't last very long, but the moisturizing properties and spf benefits seem long-lasting. The subtle color of the pink shade also remains long after the gloss disappears. I wish it wasn't as expensive for just a small amount of product, but it's worth it. I've used it for a week in cold weather and my lips are the smoothest, healthiest, and prettiest they've been in months if not years. I think this is owing to the moisturizing properties and spf. I'm happy I splurged on this and will look forward to trying another color.

Love the SPF/UV protection

I love the fact that Colorescience Sunforgettable Lip Shine SPF 35 has UV protection as I have had skin cancer right at my lip line BEFORE using this product. I read the product description before buying and I’d like to believe that the essential oil and peptides make a difference, but I can’t say that I see a difference after using this product in pink and coral for over a year. I like the colors, I would prefer more colors, but I love the protection Colorscience affords and will continue using it.

I have been looking for a good sun screen product for lips, and usually either dislike the way they taste or feel. This lip shine is a nice consistency, not too sticky, and has a pleasant subtle minty taste. It wears well. I bought the champagne color, but feel with my complexion it makes my lips look a bit washed out. I have been layering over a more strongly pigmented lip stain for a brighter color while still getting the benefit of sun protection. Next time I will try a darker shade. Overall, l I’m very pleased!
