This lightweight primer creates a more even skin tone and blurs the look of large pores and fine lines. It also protects skin with 4.5% zinc oxide and 5% titanium dioxide, two skin-healthy physical sunscreen ingredients. Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 improves the look of skin tone and texture while tea tree, tangerine and lavender extracts work to provide antioxidant protection against environmental stressors.

Too yellow

I purchased this by accident, my fault. I love the Calming Primer from Colorescience and that was what I had intended to get, my mistake. The Brightening Primer left my mature skin very yellow and "pilley". It was definitely not the right primer for my skin. As mentioned, I LOVE the Calming Primer. It works well with my skin and does a great job blurring some of my imperfections!

I love this product and have been using for many years. I even used it when I was healing from a cosmetic procedure. It smoothes out your skin, filling in lines, helps to cover redness & brightens your skin. Pilled under makeup

I did not see any skin-brightening effects. After using minimal products (serum & moisturizer) I applied this primer. Then when I applied my foundation, the primer pilled up everywhere, making my skin look like it was peeling and dry. I thought maybe it was a fluke, but had the same issue several days in a row. I ended up returning to Lovely Skin. I appreciate the Titanium & Zinc sunscreen in this product, but nothing else about it suited me. Still on the hunt for a good primer though.

Excellent primer

I love ColoreScience primers, and this is an excellent unpigmented one. I usually mix it with the bronzing primer (my favorite), which tones down the orange hues of the bronzer. But when I want no bronzer at all, this does the trick.

Primer as concealer and primer in one

I have used both the bronzing Colorescience primer and this brightening type that minimizes redness. I use the bronzing type more often now so my 18 year old daughter tried my brightening primer to minimize redness from a breakout and likes it so well that we ordered her a new bottle of her own. She also likes to use it as a light base layer all over her face to even out her skin tone and to provide an extra layer of sun protection underneath the SPF powder we both use daily. We both like the pump bottles used by Colorescience that keeps things hygienic and tidy. My daughter has very fair and sensitive skin, typically with an oily T-zone area, and this brightener does not make her breakout. It also works well for my fair/medium skin that tends to be mostly normal to dry.
