I love how lightweight this foundation is. During the day, if I'm not looking for a fully done look, I'll just apply a layer and it helps even out my skin tone and adds nice moisture to my skin. If I'm wearing at night, I'll add a second layer for a more polished look. I have a hard time finding foundations that don't break me out or settle into fine lines. This product doesn't do either.

What a foundation should be

I decided to try Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation after reading great reviews on it. I ordered it in shade 113 which is a light warm shade. The shade was perfect for my skin tone. After applying it , I immediately liked the consistency but the best part was how it looked on my skin....like a second skin. This foundation melts right in, gives an airbrushed look and smooths pores for a beautiful look. Worth the price.

I wanted a foundation with medium coverage for days I didn't go to work. This foundation is light to medium coverage. I think I selected the wrong shade. My skintone is light-medium with warm undertones. I purchased #123 which is just a little too light for me. I am mixing it with another water-based foundation that is slightly deeper. It almost works. I thought about ordering #143, but really didn't want to spend any more $. I have enough foundations from another high-end brand.

Perfect for over 45 skin

Like nothing else

I use 213. Sinks into my skin, never sits pores because this light, greenish tone matches my light yellow/olive Asian skin tone absolutely perfectly. In summer if I have some color, I mix in 147 or even 123 to mix my current skin shade. I can just use about a pea size to make the redness on my cheeks less apparent and it’s all I need. No stickiness, no. Red for powder, feels good, lasts all day, natural natural natural. Look for reviews - you’ll see how amazing this is. Yes it is pricey- but I only use a tiny bit so this is worth it to me. For something that makes my skin look like SKIN - I happily choose this. I have tried many popular, expensive foundations that claim to be skin-like and they did not work for me. I tap tap tap this in with my fingers and it truly DISAPPEARS. But has a nice amount of pigment to give decent coverage. It is magic.

013 is a perfect shade for my cool undertone. I am light skinned but not super fair. Works for my cool olive undertone. Does not have a pink tone IMO. Buildable coverage that does not look patchy. Seems to be great!

I was ready to return this on the first try. After letting it settle for a few minutes I thought, hmm could this be the foundation I’ve searched for all my life. I’m in my 40’s. I have fine lines, large pores, dark spots, acne scars and uneven tone. I used the green base and then I applied this using a dry sponge. The second time I set the sponge and stippled it into the skin moving in different directions, worked even better. I first covered my face with one pump and it dries very fast and just used a half pump last and done. I kind of love this. The match is perfect for my fair rosy skin. I got 002. I then used some of their brightening moisture powder on spots that I feel needs a little more coverage. After about 5 minutes it all seems to meld together and look so flawless! Perfect skin in a bottle!

This really is a great natural skin like foundation that brings out the natural beauty in your own skin. It won’t cover major flaws, but you can add concealer for that. I use shade 002 on my fair, pink-toned NW 18 skin. My skin is good, but as I age I have noticed that foundations that I used to love are not sitting well on my skin anymore. This foundation does give you that facial like glow as it conceals redness without clinging to dry patches, or emphasizing pores, texture, or lines and wrinkles. I highly recommend it, especially if you are over 40.

Might be the best foundation I've ever used

I'm quite grateful to the reviewers that noted that Warm 213 was great for pale olive skin because it was a perfect match for my normally impossible to match pale olive skin. It wore like a dream on my dryish skin too. I had been a devoted user of a foundation from a different brand (old version, recently discontinued) and since I've purchased a number of things, and had even more samples of, foundations that were either the wrong tone (too yellow, too pink) and just didn't work for my slightly dry-ish skin. I've gone to department stores and puzzled countless people because I'm just so hard to match. This was a perfect match for my pale olive skin that's never been a match in popular brands. It applied beautifully and wore great throughout a long day.
