Maybe this is correct if someone used the device at its lowest setting--but when I used the mid- to high currents , whether with the NuFace gel or with my Aloe Vera gel, I felt stinging--especially when it neared any hair, e.g., facial hair and hairline. So, all in all, a mixed review but if it tones my face, it'll be worth it.
