So far I love it!
I have very acne prone skin and used a different very reputable brand that made me break out SOO bad which was a bummer because where I wasn’t breaking out my skin looked amazing haha! So I heard this Vitamin c is recommended for acne prone skin and so far I love it! I’ve been using for 2 weeks and have no broken out and I normally would have immediately. I have yet to see the long term results but I really like the consistency and that it doesn’t smell bad! I’ll post another review after I finish the bottle! Would definitely recommend for acne prone people!!

Wish it didn't have alcohol but...
Sometimes I get really hung up on one ingredient, for this product it's alcohol. I so wish it didn't have it but honestly it does a very solid job of brightening the skin. I will say don't be fooled into believing that you still don't need to actually treat your dark spots. It's a good product but would be amazing if they tweaked the formula and ditched the drying alcohol.

Good for hormonal issues with aging skin
I’m in my early 50s. I think most skincare professionals (dermatologists, plastic surgeons, etc) say that SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic and Phloretin CF are the real deal - truly effective when most products can’t do much. I had tried CE Ferulic first (on my own) and had a breakout. My aesthetician said that because I have always been prone to breakouts, the vitamin E oil in that was too much for me. She recommended this for me instead. I could see a difference within the first few days - lightening of old blemish spots and melasma, smoother texture (pores less obvious). And no breakouts. My dermatologist recommended that I start using this product. She gave me a very small sample to try. I had no problems from the small sample, so I ordered the large bottle. I was using the product every other morning. After a few weeks I noticed that my skin was extremely tight, and dry. After I wash my face in the morning, I would hurry and put on the Phloretin or a very thick moisturizer depending on the day. In the evening after I washed my face, I would hurry and put on my moisturizer. I haven't really seen a difference yet, but I do believe that it is a bit early. I have started using the Phloretin every 3 days, hoping that my skin will adjust better. If you have normal to dry skin this product might not be for you. I would look further into their lineup of products.

This product is a little hard to review because serums like this take some time before the effects can be seen. It's also hard to isolate its effects because it is used in combination with other products. BUT, that being said, I do like it. The texture is good, and its smell, though not necessarily pleasant, is mild and better than that of CE Ferulic. I feel good that I am bolstering my sun protection. I love the skin care office I go to, and they recommend it for me. So, I'm taking it on a little faith and using it daily.

Good addition to my routine
The texture of this is nice, it's not too sticky and doesn't take long to absorb. Although I'm not sure I see any kind of mind-blowing change to my skin, it does seems little less temperamental and this product seems to help my acne to some degree. I use it under my sunscreen. My skin is pretty sensitive but this doesn't bother it.
