Be careful

Be very light-handed with this product. It will leave your face chalky if you are heavy-handed. Sometimes, I think it still left a cast on my face even if I was light-handed. It did leave me matte for longer, but I could do without the chalk face.

Does the job but smells

My dermatologist recommended this lotion to me because I have a super oily T zone and ears. I only need just the smallest dab and my skin in the area i rub the lotion in never gets oily all day. My glasses don't slide up and down my nose anymore. The ONLY downside I experienced is the smell. I'm really sensitive to smells and this lotion bugs me a bit but not enough to stop using it. Kind of smells like medicine. Other than that, this lotion is perfect for oily faces and other small areas.

Does seem to work

It's surprising that a small droplet rubbed into the nose or forehead could reduce the surface oil, but it does seem to work. I'm not sure how long the effect lasts. Additionally, I have a problem with white skin flakes on my nose, due to the use of drying agents (clogged pores). A droplet of Sebasorb seems to make them less visible (or maybe eliminates them). I'm a 59-year-old man with an oily complexion, and lots of clogged pores.

Best Oily Shine Control

This is the best oily shine control product so far. I apply just a little bit after washing my face, on the very oily t-area and it really works all day. I have olive colored skin. Pros: very clear color like water, no smell, absorbed right away, doesnt leave any residue on skin, a little goes a long way. Cons: none. I have tried similar products from Mary Kay and Shiseido and found Sebasorb lotion is the best by far.

Great for drying acne lesions, oily skin!

This product was suggested to me by a dermatologist. Its for persistent, recalcitrant acne. What it does is dry and pull out the stuff you dont want! Be aware its very drying and the product will turn white if not applied very thinly, but these are definitely not negatives -- just wanted you to know. Once washed off (easily), theres no irritation, at least for my (natural redhead) skin. LovelySkin -- with free shipping! -- offers Sebasorb cheaper than any other online site, including the manufacturers, and the suppliers for brick and mortar pharmacies, at least in D.C., do not list it. If you want extreme drying for your acne, I recommend it. Also for acne and sold by LovelySkin -- again LovelySkin is cheaper than the manufacturer or Amazon -- and free shipping! -- is Rezamid, probably the best OTC product available. Both Sebasorb and Rezamid are manufactured by Summers Labs.
