Senna Velvet Eye eyeliner

I wasn’t thrilled how it applied; kind of skips light and dark. I was hoping for a nice kohl quality and felt mislead by its description of ‘velvet’. I do like the fact that it has a sponge smudger on its other end, to help blend. However because of its non-smooth application, I found that I must apply much more than I typically like to wear and thus makes my eyelids heavier looking.

Lines easily

Like that it goes on easily. Occasionally, when sharpening I found that the liner seems to be dry and breaks. Not sure what’s happening there and I’ll have to see if that remains a problem when I use the 2 remaining liners. I do like the black chocolate color so I hope the sharpening issue is a one-time thing.

Purchased because of the color (Black Forest), and it was just what I’ve been searching for. Perfect for everyday use. Not as titled

This eyeliner has great texture, goes on well, disappears pretty fast - so that's not great. The significant drawback is the color. I ordered Blackforest because it was the only one with the word Black in the color identifier. Problem is that the product itself is green. If I can't return it, I'll just throw it away. I've had such great experience with LS for skin products, I decided to try for makeup items. This is such a non-starter, I won't again order makeup products from LS. Just don't have the cycles for stuff like this.

Not What I had Hoped For

Maybe my eyelids are dry, but this pencil did not live up to the name “Velvet Eyeliner”. For me, it did not glide on easily. If I do a line on the lower lid, it performs a little better. Will not repurchase.

A Classic Eye Liner

This kind of eye pencil is difficult to find. Most eyeliners are the gel type in pencil or cream form and they have their place but I prefer this one for the upper eyelid. It gives a softer look but it can still be dramatic if you go over it a few times. It stays on fairly well and doesn't smudge on me. I love the Black Violet. It provides definition without looking harsh like black when you're an older woman and have fair skin. I'm so glad I found this pencil and I hope they never discontinue it. I'm stocking up just in case.

Easy to apply - wish it would stay on a little longer

I've been using Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner in the color zero (jet black) for the last few years but I figured I would try this one as I use all of Senna's other products. This eyeliner applies fairly easily but does not glide as well as Urban Decays and I don't think it stays on as long. However it is a very nice eyeliner for daytime use or at work b/c it does have a lighter look. At night, you might want more of a dramatic eyeliner.
