Topical retinols have been used by dermatologists to help combat and reverse the visual effects of aging, such as wrinkles, laxity, and discoloration. Retinols accelerate cell turnover, and can minimize the appearance of blemishes and pores.

Formulated with the highest concentration of 1.0% pure retinol, this night cream is enhanced with the latest stabilization and delivery technologies to ensure a steady, even release of the maximum available concentration. Retinol 1.0 is proven to diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin discoloration while minimizing breakouts and the appearance of pores.

The added skin-calming blend of bisabolol and boswellia serrata extract provides soothing benefits and minimizes irritation. I purchased this retinol for the first time. I’ve now used it for a month. I followed the suggested initial use- twice a week to start, gradually increasing. Generally I use prescription tretinoin but purchased this in a bind. It is strong but didn't irritate my skin considering I already use a retinoid regularly. Overall I still prefer my go to as it glides on easier & seems to be a bit more effective for my skin. However, I will definitely continue to use this until it’s gone and would recommend Skinceutitcals.

Wow. This retinol is seriously strong. It really works. I only apply a small dot to my t-zone and wrinkled areas a few times a week. It does cause peeling if you apply more than that amount. I follow up with the skinceuticals daily moisturizer for combo/oily skin. So far so good :)!

A Great Product

I have used Skinceuticals for over 15 yrs because of its excellent reputation and it does exactly what it says it does. Over time, you will get excellent results (remember, the damage did not happen over night). This retinol 1.0 is very effective. However, although it is creamy, it does not glide on as smoothly as another brand I had that literally spread and felt like silk. A pea size of retinol is all that is is needed on the face; and the easier it glides on, the less amount you find yourself using. I will be ordering my previous retinol once done with this one. Nevertheless, I give this product an A but not an A+.

It is suggested that you use every other day at in the beginning to get used to the 1.0 strength, I agree. Or apply your moisturizer then the retinol. Of course always use SPF during the day to protect your skin. SkinCeuticals offer quality products, why choose anything less? Aren't you worth it?
