Video Transcript

There are hundreds of different versions of the low ponytail from sleek and chic to messy and natural and everything in between. Add braids, twists and accessories and you can wear this spring trend just about anywhere. In this tutorial, we'll show you how to achieve a simple and smooth version of this trend that you can create in just a few minutes. Begin with straightened hair. To create a sleek and smooth style, apply a smoothing serum such as glo essentials Infinite Shine Smoothing Oil ( Apply this serum from the middle of your locks all the way to the ends to create healthy shine and a glossy finish. Then, using an elastic band, pull all of the hair back into a ponytail at the nape of the neck. We suggest using an elastic band that is similar to your hair color so it can be easily concealed. Separate a small section of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic band. Make sure the hair covers the entire band and secure with a bobby pin underneath the ponytail. Spray a fine toothed comb with a finishing product such as TIGI Hair Reborn Flexible Finishing Spray ( Using the side of the comb, smooth down any flyaways or frizzy hairs and create a sleek finish. This is such a fantastic idea - could be casual or formal...these "how to" videos are GREAT...THANK YOU, and thanks for showing the products used to achieve the hairstyle. I have an upcoming event, and I think I will wear my long hair like this....not too "fussy," but still looks polished for going out, for work, or just an everyday look... keene63
