Reviews For EltaMD UV AOX Elements Tinted Broad Spectrum SPF 50 - Upgraded Formula
tint is off
This version seems a little thicker than the old version and that's okay with me. What I'm not happy about is the tint of this product. The old version matched my skin tone better, this one is too yellow.

Good But Not My Color
I've always liked & trusted this brand. The regular (no tint) & other tinted (no AOX) worked well on my face, with or without makeup. This formula's color & texture isn't for me. It doesn't spread or blend well. The color on me is "artificial". I wish I liked it because of the ingredients, but this is a no for me. 3 stars because it's Elta with good ingredients, but I can't give it more, due to how this formula is a definite mismatch for me & I won't buy it again.

On the fence
I have used this twice and my skin feels dry after I wash my face at night and does not have the glow that the old UV Elements gave me. I don’t know why they had to change it.

Good sunscreen
I bought this sunscreen because I like the Elta MD clear sunscreen which goes on easily and feels moist. The UV AOX sunscreen isn’t as easy to rub in and feels dry when you get it rubbed in. This sunscreen is supposed to be better for aging skin, but I really like the clear Elta MD sunscreen better. Will not order the UV AOX again.

New formula is as orange as the old one on me
Like the previous UV Elements formula, this reformulation feels nice on my skin and I imagine the protection is good. However, also like the previous formula, it is ORANGE on my fair skin. I don't know why they don't offer an untinted version.

Overall decent sunscreen, not for super fair skin
This was a decent facial sunscreen. Great coverage and definitely kept me protected from the sun. Only issues I had is that it says it is moisturizing, however when I used it without a moisturizer underneath, it did make my skin feel dry. Also, while I love tinted sunscreen, this one was a little too much on the "orange" tint side for me. I have fair/light skin with more of a pink undertone. When I used it for the first time, my skin had a "muddy" appearance. This would be great for someone with a warmer skin tone, but not if your fair/light.

Elta MD UV ELEMENTS
I was looking for a sunscreen that would not leave a white film on my face so I decided to try Elta MD UV ELEMENTS BROAD- SPECTRUM SPF 44. The product is great however, for me I did not find that it has enough moisturizer and it left my face very dry. Also the tint stains my clothes. Otherwise it is a good product.

Too orange
I love Elta MD sunscreens. I was looking to switch to a 100% mineral one since I am pregnant and this is one of their options. Unfortunately, this tint was way too dark for my ivory skin. Looked very orange. My makeup covered it up, but I didn't like the idea of a darker product sitting underneath. I returned for the Elta MD luminous tinted one and love it.

Orange tint
I’ve been on a continuous search for a good physical tinted sunscreen. I love an all-physical sunscreen from a different brand but wanted to try something more creamy. Unfortunately this product is too orange for my fair skin. It appeared patchy on my skin and wasn’t very easy to apply evenly. I’m planning to keep it because it is a hassle to return and I’d rather keep it for days at the pool or hiking when I’m worried more about sun protection than what I look like.

Tiny bumps
I wanted to like this so bad! I have been trying so many sunscreens trying to find the right one because for some odd reason my skin decided to become dry and sensitive all of a sudden.. now most sunscreens (including this one) are causing these little bumps around my eyes and cheeks. Even my eyelids. It’s so weird! Then they fade next day if I don’t use the sunscreen. Thanks to a review on here I have narrowed it down to perhaps some sunscreens dry out my skin even more causing more bumps. Unfortunately it wasn’t until after testing this sunscreen and getting more bumps that I realized… so my husband will be getting get another nice sunscreen!

Stains
The tint in this product has stained my towels and clothing. It's a great sun screen but be cautionary of getting it on any fabric.

Good, but not great
I used Elta MD’s Uv Clear sunscreen and love it. I like that this is a mineral sunscreen, but it’s not for fair skinned people. This is almost orange looking on me, but looks great on people with warmer skin tones.

Good feel, not for fair skin
I liked the feel of this spf even though it is a bit shiny. It feels moisturizing and lightweight. It is a darker tint though, not for fair to light skin. Makes me look shiny and orange.

Good product but too dark
This is a great product but, not for me! I used 1/4 teaspoon on my face and neck in the Morning, OMG! it turns orange color wherever I put on, I am an Asia woman but, even too dark for me. Its moisturizer and smoothly for skin, good product but, maybe for more brown skin tone . I was highly wish to try EltaMD sun screen, this is my first purchase, I do not know what to do for it.

Tint is not right for me
It may be perfect for somebody else, but I cannot give a high score for a product I cannot use I have read the comments re: the tint, but I really want a lightweight, broad spectrum, physical sunscreen, so I decide to give it a try. It is indeed lightweight and 100% physical, which is what I want, but I cannot get past the color, so I end up not using it. Wish it could come in clear formula.

Heavily tinted
I am a very fair skinned and the tint of the sunscreen was too dark/yellow for me, it was like a tanner. Plus if you wipe your face during the day, the sunscreen is like makeup coming off!

Not a Good Tint for Fair Skin
First of all, I have VERY fair skin. If my skin were a tad darker, I think this SPF would hit it out of the park. It wears really nicely on top of skin care, and I like the style of pump bottle. However, the tint just doesn't work for me at all. What a shame!

Tinted moisturizer
This has a nice color but is not as water resistant as I’d like. It immediately swears off. Also not for oily or combination skin. It turns really shiny looking after an hour or so.

Didn’t make the cut.
I bought this with high hopes. It has a nice texture and protects well but like most Elta md sunscreens it’s very drying and needs to be layered on top of a moisturizer. The tint is a little too dark for my very pale skin. I wish sunscreen companies would use brown hues for a more natural look instead of yellow/orange hues. The Umpa Loompa look is not attractive! It’s just as bad as the white mime look. The search continues.

Wrong color
I found the tint to be a bit too dark for my light skin. However, I like the texture and coverage.
