This really will protect skin after procedures

Yes, it is basically just petroleum jelly that has been thickened with beeswax to make it less messy, but it will form an occlusive seal to your skin to prevent moisture loss and to soothe your skin after a procedure. I used it recently after a CO2 “cool peel” and I was very pleased with it. This jar will last a long time.

After having a chemical peel, the skin on my face started to peel and hurt every time I washed my face. Other moisturizers and face oil that I tried would relieve the redness , peeling and pain only for a couple of hours. EltaMD laser post procedure balm helped my skin to heel, and provided the relief it needed after a chemical peel. Every time I have a chemical peel I use copious amount of it for several days until my face is back to normal. It does not cause me have breakouts.

Helpful after fractional CO2

This was recommended by the dermatologist that did my CO2 procedure. It did not cause any irritation at all during the healing process, unlike a different product I used for my prior CO2. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I experienced a lot of pimples.

I am on the fence about this product; I bought it for my C-section scar and for light surface level scratches on my daughter’s s face—caused by my toddler. The product, I like Vaseline, it’s not very pliable and it is very, very thick and not very malleable. I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it either. I wouldn’t buy it again. I think it would be very sensitive to a newer scar because it doesn’t mold well to the skin.

Great Winter Hand Balm

I'm not sure about using this balm on my face, but love for my dry, cracked hands in winter months. Like a solid version of petroleum jelly, so a little goes a really long way. Probably great for post-procedure skin. I am glad I purchased the jar and not squeeze tube, it would be pretty hard to squeeze out I think.
