Avene Cicalfate+ Hydrating Skin Recovery Emulsion is Different
Avene Cicalfate+ Hydrating Skin Recovery Emulsion from when my Dermatologist recommended it a couple years back is not what it used to be. It no longer has the bluish tint and its scent is unpleasant. I still buy it for moisture and because I have not discovered from Avene one that can substitute. Anything close to this line breaks me out. Wished Avene company would go back to the original formula, which I believe worked better too.

Convenient post procedures!
Considering how much I like Avène Radiance mask, especially during winter time, with retinol use and following procedures, I bought Cicalfate right after I started my Exilis sessions, and it’s truly not bad! It’s fairly hydrating, it’s not greasy or sticky and the skin absorbs it quite nicely! Good for sensitive or sensitized skin! I gave it 3 stars, however, because I know I won’t be buying it again!

Healed my burn completely
I used this immediately after I got a sizable bad burn on my chest from a hot oil splash from my deep fryer. It was blistered and I was sure I would scar or at least have discoloration. My dermatologist had me continuously put this on the burn and it healed very quickly and did not leave any trace of the burn afterward. Two thumbs up.
