I have fairly sensitive skin which is dry and peels due to my use of Retin A ointment. I had been searching forever for the right facial moisturizer to use during our colder months. I tried virtually all of Avene's creams (I like that they are geared for sensitive skin use) and ultimately settled on XERACALM AD Lipid Replenishing Cream. It is a plus that this particular line of Avene's is recommended for people with eczema, since it is approved for its efficacy and tolerance in nourishing and calming dry, itchy skin. Great for Retin A users in my opinion. The cream glides on smoothly and feels creamy and rich but fairly thin. I have zero peeling (yeah!). It would be a bit heavy to use during the summer months though and will switch to a even lighter moisturizer for our humid summers.

Nighttime Must-have for Dry, Unhappy Skin
The Avene XeraCalm AD Lipid-Replenishing Cream is a must-have for my dry (usually unhappy skin). As I have gotten older, my skin has become drier and itchier (especially on my shins and forearms). I use the Avene XeraCalm at night because it is so thick and nourishing. When I wake up, my skin is calm and hydrated. It is a little too thick for daytime, and I don't wear it when I am working out because it tends to pill when I sweat. I love that it has no fragrance.
