I tend not to use hand cream because I can't stand the greasy, tacky feeling of most. To be honest my hands usually feel like they're dirty when I use it. My sister had me try her Dr. Hauschka's a couple of times recently and I liked it well enough to order some. SO glad I did! I'm 48 and live in the Mojave Desert...my hands have definitely been looking their age or more. I desperately need the hydration of a good hand cream, I think I've found it, and now my hands are looking less like a lizard's. Yay!
This cream keeps my hands soft and moisturized well through the day. It helped me a lot with dryness, especially if I was out in cold weather or after a day of housework when my hands were frequently wet and in touch with abrasive cleaners..etc. The scent is a bit strange - similar to other Dr Hauschka products, but not offensive. As long as it repairs my hands and helps me keep them moisturized, I can live with how it smells.
I started using this hand cream at least ten years ago and often pick up another brand to see if something else will give me the same absorption and protection. Never happens, even with more expensive brands. This one is quickly absorbed and leaves no "stickiness". Size is perfect for on-the-go.
Might be a weird thing to say about hand cream - but the first thing I noticed was the smell. Its fantastic! You can really smell the almond oil - which is a VERY pleasant scent. Ive been a fan of Dr H products for awhile now and this one does not disappoint and is in the same quality class as the other products Ive tried in their line. I would caution while it seems a little expensive, you really dont need much. Im currently using it in the dead of a dry Minnesota winter and I really dont need much to keep my hands moisturized. I use it multiple times/day and I think it will last awhile.
