This is a great, basic cleanser. It’s not too drying but also feels like it removes all traces of the day. I’m not a heavy makeup wearer so I can’t speak to its efficacy in that regard, but I do like it. Sometimes I’ll lather it up and let it sit while I brush my teeth and then I rinse or use a washcloth to remove it. I feel like I get a deeper clean using it that way which is nice once or twice a week. The only thing negative I’ll say is that the pump gets clogged pretty easily which is annoying but not a deal breaker. All in all I’m a fan of this cleanser and would totally buy it again.

I love the foaming action of this cleanser. It makes cleaning my face easier and there's less mess left of my counter. I do find that when I wear my full coverage foundation, this cleanser alone doesn't remove all of my makeup. After washing I will wipe my face with a makeup remover wipe and there's still some makeup that was left behind. That's the reason I knocked off a star. On the days I don't wear full coverage foundation, I feel like one wash is totally sufficient and my skin is perfectly clean.

I prefer the Elta MD Deep Pore Facial Cleanser to the Elta MD Foaming Facial Cleanser because I think it foams more than the Foaming Facial Cleanser. I'm a soap and water gal and the Foaming Facial Cleanser is more like a lotion. I didn't give it 5 stars because it won't take all my eye makeup off and I don't wear water proof makeup. I have been using EltaMD Foaling Cleanser for over 2 years now due to an issue I developed of a dermatitis around my eyes, mouth and nose. It was soothing and while it did not cure my condition, it definitely did not make it worse and it was very gentle on my skin. The dermatitis eventually went away on its own and I have continued using this product. The foaming action gives me a very clean but not dry feeling after rinsing, even washing away makeup. I am only giving it a 4 because of late I have actually begun to break out a bit on my chin—not sure why. I have no intention of changing but rather am using other products to address the breakouts.

I am a huge fan of SkinCeuticals and EltaMD products (have used both for years). I wanted to try a less expensive face wash, so I ordered this. The bottle is really huge, so it will go a long way for sure. It smells good, so I was worried it might break me out, but it didn't. Sadly, I just don't feel like this cleans my face entirely. I always use toner after I wash my face, and with this, I still see quite a bit of makeup on my face pad. It's nice and does the job for a fairly inexpensive price, but if you are looking for that squeaky clean feel and having every last drop of makeup removed, not sure this is the best cleanser.
