Doesn't make my face break out, or make it greasy. Happy so far.
My daughter is on a swim team and I was out in the sun all day, I did not get burned to my surprise. This is a lite weight but don't let that fool you. I found it to be runny and kind hard to apply. It did a fantastic job. I don't like it under foundation.
I find this product to be a bit watery in consistency but the tint matches my skin well. Goes under makeup nicely.
The color is perfect for me, which is a shade darker than Exuviance SPF50. However, it leaves a shiny finish.
I have been using Neostrata's AHA 20 Moisturizer for two years. I like it. So, I decided to try this product thinking that it would be a wonderful sunscreen to layer on the moisturizer. The product leaves my face dry with white patches/flakes all over. Needless to say, I am disappointed. I have another tub that I have not opened. I intend to return it to LovelySkin. I hope they will give me a refund, so I can get EltaMD SPF 46 tinted. I used the free sample that I got from LovelySkin. It absorbed beautifully into my face. Loved it.
Pros: I ordered this product because it specifically advertises superior UVA protection. UVA rays cause aging. Thus, it you are concerned about getting enough UVA protection, you may wish to consider this product. Additionally, this product seems to help diminish/cover some of my large pores in my T-zone. Cons: Be advised that this sunscreen has a tint. The tint did not work for my skin tone (i.e. fair/light). I wish it came in a non-tinted version. The color was too dark and turned my eyebrows (which are naturally blonde & light brown) an orangeish color. I think I will only use this on the lower half of my fact because it is too difficult to use on forehead/eyebrow area in terms of rubbing in/color issues. Additionally, I had a harder time rubbing this sunscreen in my skin (compared to other ones in my collection). It seemed to pick up any dry skin/flakes and didn't seem to sink into my skin as good as other types. I apply this with my fingers & try to use a konjac sponge on my face beforehand to eliminate any flakes on my skin. There may be a better way to apply this so that it doesn't do this. I should also mention that this product has a more liquid, less cream moisturized texture. It does have a velvet finish to it and unlike other sunscreens, didn't make my skin greasy. If the color match was better and if I could figure out how to apply it without it picking up/clinging to dry spots & flakes then I would give this a better rating.
I am obsessed with high SPF, broad spectrum sunscreens, and have tried at least 30. This is honestly one of the best I've ever tried! No white cast, natural texture on skin, and a high PA++++ rating in addition to SPF 50, which really make me feel more safe in the sun. One of my top 5 physical sunscreens of all time, highly recommend.
This is my new favorite SPF. Its light, non-greasy, and doesnt have the white cast. It works very well on my skin tone and seems to give it a light bit of diffusing coverage because of the tint it has to cover the whiteness SPF usually has. I have very fair skin and it both looks good on my skin color and works very well to protect me from the sun.
