I first tried SkinCeuticals Hyaluronic Acid Intensifier Hydrating Serum as a sample sent by LovelySkin as part of a sale promotion. Both my husband and I have been using several different brands of hydrolonic acid for many yeas - this one is very impressive and seems to go beyond the others in terms of effectiveness. I like the idea of this product and I’ve bought several bottles. I’m just not sure it’s actually doing anything. My routine is this: SC CE ferulic in am, this hyaluronic and then mineral sunscreen foundation. I feel like this hyaluronic acid layer is what causes pilling and looks like dandruff. If it is pilling, what is is really doing. I use Retinoid, this product and moisturizer most nights. (Some nights I skip Retinoid and increase moisturizer.) I have used this hyaluronic under occlusion treatment too. I think I have a hard time believing a serum like this works when it’s not an active and I can’t see improvement like I can with vitamin C and Retinoid. The pictures look great in the reviews, but I also use this on my lips and then apply a thick moisturizer. I don’t see improvement there.

I was going to buy the B5 hyaluronic acid serum after receiving a sample but bought this one after seeing this on the website. Wish I had gone with the B5 instead. First, this is not lightweight at all. The B5 soaks immediately into my skin but this one just feels like I have a sticky layer on top so I could only use this at night. Second, I just did not notice that it did anything. Didn't moisturize, didn't plump, didn't even marginally reduce the appearance of wrinkles or lines. For the price, I expected at least a nice texture, especially if it's not going to produce any actual results. This had a yucky texture on top of producing no results.

I really like the consistency of this product and I trust skin ceuticals science in formulating the best products. My skin looks great when I use this. I can put it on daily and wear makeup over it. My other HA product I use from a different brand pills and I can only use it at night. I use that one because it has peptides in it. The only concern I have with this product is the price is very high for how quickly I go through it. Possibly I use too much. I would definitely buy this product again.
