I use this product as a post-cleansing wash off treatment, rather than as a cleanser. Used in this way, I have noticed great results. It can cause irritation if left on too long, but I like that it is a hydroquinone-free option for lightening my hyperpigmentation.

I’ve used this PCA Skin product for a little over two weeks but have used it morning and night. It seems to be lightening a few stubborn dark spots already. The spots weren’t extreme, but I know they are there and try to cover them when applying makeup. The product is a generous size and reasonably priced. The one downside is it’s hard too wait two minutes with it on your face especially when trying to rush to get ready for work. And be careful with the 3 thin sponges that come in the box because they are deceiving! With an accidental few drops of water on the 3 together, I inflated all of them instantly. But, I think it’s a good product that does what the advertising says it will.

Effective but takes time
I purchased this product from LovelySkin and have been using it for about 3 months (as at the date of this review). While the application and leave-on process is troublesome (i.e. having to create a lather and leaving the lather on for a few minutes), the results are worth it. The product has helped brighten my skin, and the dark spots have lightened slightly. Do note however that it will take time for the effects of this product to materialize. There is also a lot of product. I have been using it for 3 months, and I'm not even a quarter through the jar. Would give it 5 stars if there was an easier, less cumbersome manner to apply the product.

I have been using this product for a year now. My dermatologist recommended as something to use morning and night to help combat sun spots. Since it's ingredients are all natural, I was advised it is safe to use with other creams or products aimed at diminishing spots. I definitely saw a lightening affect after continued use. This is a product I will use going forward as part of my regimen. As I wash my face with it, I leave the soap on my skin for a few minutes before rinsing. It feels nourishing and not at all drying. soooo creamy leave it on for a masque effect
If you read the label you'll see that there is a suggestion to leave it on for a minute or so. I use this with my clarisonic: I dip the tip into the jar and then after wetting my face I clean it with the clarisonic and soap that reminds me of a soft patchouli scent. At the end of the cycle I harvest the cream left on the brush and pat it on my skin. Then I take a shower waiting until last to rinse my face. The extra few minutes the product is left on the face make it work better. I use it as if it were a mini masque and it's just amazing.

I use this at night. This is helping me a lot with my dark purple acne scars, both old and new. The new acne scars don't set. They flare up and go away really fast! I'm allergic to hydroquinone, so this is a miracle for me. PCA soaps are like solid creams--they aren't bars. Comes with sponges, but I use makeup cleaner on them.

i bought this to use on my body, so the packaging is a little difficult. if you were using it just on the face, its great since you just rub the pad onto the bar. it is not a bar that floats in the jar, the jar is filled with the product and it is stuck to the sides. i think ill slice around the edge so i can take it out of the jar since that would make it easier for me to use. i did try this on my face a couple of times and i think it made me break out a little. this contains great ingredients so im sure ill see an improvement with the pigmentation on my chest, back, and shoulders with continued use.
