I had been using the 0.5 Retinol cream and thought I could bump up to the 1.0 unfortunately it was too strong for my skin and within 2 days I was peeling full on from the nose and chin area and proceeded to peel for the next week or so over my entire face. When applying it, I never felt any harsh or burning, the lotion is nice but before I knew it I was peeling again. I tried to reduce it to once a week but still peeled so am going back to the 0.5 retinol which works fine for me. I like that these formulas didn't make me break out like other brands have.

I have used this product for quite some time. I am 74 years old and never had a problem with it. The last time I purchased some the bottling was different. It was in a tube. Since then I've had problems with itching. Don't know for sure if it's the reinol or the Vit C serum I use. Was the packaging changed?

I use a few products in this line. I successfully completed a vial of the 0.5 Retinol without issue, so I then ordered this. Even after several weeks I cannot use this daily. It causes peeling in certain areas that is almost like a sunburn. I end up standing in the bathroom peeling it with my tweezers. However, I am not ready to give up!

I got the smaller 0.5 and been using it on my face and neck. I figured since I’ve had success with the lower strength I was ready to move up. I’ve used it two times a week and it dried out under my eyes and caused pealing. One of the worst places on your face as far as appearance, where the skin is dry, wrinkled and then peeling. The rest of my skin handles this product well. I’m still working on the right Regimen with this product.

My skin had to adapt to the retinol 1% cream. For the first week, there was a lot of peeling and dry patches (I thought that was also part of the process for new fresh skin), so I skipped a night here and there and moisturized my skin.
