Switched to Serum 20 AOX+ from CE Ferulic because I prefer the texture and the higher % of vitamin C. I fill empty SkinCeuticals sample vials with the serum and keep the bottle in the refrigerator. An aestheticism advised that 1 dropper full of the sample size is the correct amount.

I used the SkinCeuticals CE ferulic acid serum for two years, but I always wondered why they didn't have the maximum potency of vitamin C ( L-ascorbic acid). Then, I read the description on this and not only is it 20% vitamin C (maximum amount made to be used topically) but it also contains the ferulic acid. I made the switch. Slight stinging in the beginning but no worse than when u first started their vitamin CE ferulic acid (15% vitamin C)...skin adheres and adjusts to the higher potency within 2 days. Who doesn't love more?! MORE IS MORE!! More antioxidants, more firming, more tightening, more brightening! Love it...and best of all it is somehow $40 cheaper??

Potent Vit C!
My esthetician shares with me, several years ago, how important it is to use Vit C (medical grade like this one) in the morning and a good Retinol at night. I’ve followed her advice and have chosen SkinCeuticals for those 2 products. I started with 10% and worked my way up. This Vit C arrived the color of straw. That’s ok, I know it’s still effective and hasn’t gotten any darker in the apx 6 wks I’ve been using. I have received it totally clear before though and liked that best. It’s also very strong for my neck. This is not any fault of the product though and it lets me know that it’s a potent Vit C. I’ve continued to mainly use the 15% on my neck mixing in a drop of this 20% until that area can deal with its potency. This is the least oily of all the SkinCeuticals brands of Vit C. I need my skin to as matte as possible after it absorbs as I have oilier skin. I can actually apply my makeup over this one.

I'm a huge fan of SkinCeuticals Vitamin C Serums. I began using the 10%AOX, moved up to the 15%, and now use the 20% AOX. I apply 4-5 drops to a dry face, allow the product to penetrate before application of other serums or creams. It does absorb quickly. I do recommend beginning with 10% AOX and allow your skin to become adjusted to Vitamin C serum. Perhaps an oily skin could begin with the 15%. Gradually, work your way up to 20%. I have very sensitive skin, and with proper use, I find this to be an effective serum without adverse reaction. I do not experience dryness or irritation. The Vitamin C serum has really helped to strengthen my skin and promote collagen. The serum definitely works to diminish dark spots that resulted from occasional minor breakouts.
