This sunscreen does not spread with ease which I don’t like, but it has many other traits that are a tall order to ask out of a mineral sunscreen! Once applied, it sets beautifully! Mostly mineral, very gentle on eyes and transparent.
I love this sunscreen because it is so gentle around my eyes and even though it has a good amount of zinc oxide in it, it blends transparent on darker skin tones. It is very moisturizing. It has a very low percentage of octinoxate, but I don’t mind (most expensive sunscreens have it too, in addition to zinc). It is very comparable to EltaMD Sport. I’ve used both and they feel and perform pretty much the same. I prefer this Vanicream Sport because it costs much less and seems to be even more gentle if it gets into my eyes.

I am allergic to almost every sunscreen. I have tried so many sunscreens, over the last 16 years. My dermatologist found a facial sunscreen that I can use, but we had not been able to locate one for the body. I was given a sample of this sunscreen. I tried it and was pleasantly surprised to find that I was not allergic. When this sunscreen is applied it goes on white, but very quickly absorbs.
