2. What are the best Colorescience products?
Colorescience has developed products that fit a wide range of needs and skin types. What’s best for you will depend on your own needs and lifestyle, but some of our bestsellers include:
3. I Hear that Colorescience is a Mineral Makeup Brand; What Does that Mean?
All Colorescience products with SPF use mineral-based sunscreen to provide UV protection. This means they use physical blockers like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to deflect the sun’s rays. More often, sunscreens are chemically based, which means they use a chemical reaction to diffuse the effects of UV light. Both are safe, but mineral sunscreen is recommended for kids, pregnant women or those who would like to reduce the amount of chemicals in their skin care routine.

4. How do I clean a Colorescience Brush?
Apply cleaner to a cloth or paper towel.
Wipe your Colorescience brush against the towel to remove impurities.
Allow the bristles to dry, and then store your brush.
Note: We recommend cleaning your brush two to three times per week to prevent buildup and keep it in top shape.
5. How do I find the right shade of Colorescience Pressed Mineral Foundation?
The Colorescience Pressed Mineral Foundation has eight shades to choose from. Finding the right one for you is easier if you can first categorize your skin as one of these four options: light, medium, tan or deep. If you’ve used a Colorescience product other than the Pressed Mineral Foundation, then you should already know which of these four options you fall into. If not, then try to take some time to find out. You can see these four shades compared with a product like the Sunforgettable Total Protection Brush-On Shield.
Once you know where you lean with these four shades, then finding the right shade of Pressed Mineral Foundation is simpler. Those with a light complexion will have the best results with the Light Ivory shade. Those with a deep complexion will pair with the Deep Mocha shade. Complexions that fall into medium will have to consider if they’re a lighter or darker medium. Lighter mediums should use Medium Bisque. Darker mediums will have better results with Medium Sand. Similarly, tan complexions will have to decide if they’re a lighter or darker tan. A lighter tan will work with Tan Natural. A deeper tan will use Tan Golden.
I have mature skin (73 y.o.) and while I have not tried very many concealers, this one is pretty good. I probably will have it for the rest of my life b/c I use very little, maybe enough to cover the head of a common pin for the both eyes, not each eye. Any more and the product settles in the lines. I find the coverage is subtle which works for me.
