Gold standard still irritating

L Ascorbic acid is the best form and most effective Vitamin c in my opinion. For me it’s always been itchy and stingy and this is no different. Love the price point and at 20% concentration this is a very good value. It worked to brighten my complexion for sure but at a cost. My face got itchy on contact except for when I only washed my face with water in the mornings. I attribute this to very little disturbance in my skin barrier. So that’s how I got the benefits with less irritation. I may return to another vitamin c brand that it’s encapsulated but it’s so expensive that Clinical one is the only Vitamin C that did not irritate me. It’s just so cost prohibitive. If you have more resilient skin than myself go for this the results are right there with those big manufacturers sold here on lovely skin for nearly half the price in some cases.
