Loved that it was a thinner consistency than the other Skinceuticals vitamin C serums. Worked well with keeping acne at bay and minimizing pores. Can get a little drying if used too often. I will receive a free full-sized SkinCeuticals Silymarin CF Serum for posting this review. An excellent serum for acne prone skin. Four stars and not five for two reasons: 1) It is pricey. 2) There is nothing like CE Ferulic. My skin glows with CE Ferulic and looks more youthful. However, I am also prone to breakouts and CE Ferulic doesn’t seem to prevent acne. Silymarin does.

Great potential
I chose this rather than CE Ferulic because my skin is on the oily side and prone to acne. I did feel it helped to brighten my complexion and possibly reduce some of the oil. Unfortunately I had to temporarily stop using it because of issues with my skin barrier, but now that it’s repaired, I’m excited to reintroduce this product and reap the benefits of vitamin C as well keep my oily, acne-prone skin under control.

I had been using CE Ferulic for a long time and wanted to give this a try. I think it was a little drying for my cheeks so I now use it on my T zone area only. The consistency is more of a liquid vs serum. Nothing wrong with the product just not right for me.

I apply five drops of Silymarin CF Vitamin C in the morning after showering, and 12-24 hours later, I have a tomatoey-orange hue to my fair skin. It's noticeable, like a bad fake tan. However, it can comes off most of the way with a good face wash, or foundation covers it up too. This product does seem to reduce my oily areas a bit. I have not used it long enough to judge its other claims, but I wanted to make sure others know they're not alone if this dyes your skin. It may be interacting with some of the other products I apply about an hour or two after this has soaked in. I'm surprised no one has reported a similar situation. I wish this would not change color on my face, because it's not very practical if I look like I've had an unfortunate incident with a bottle of fake bake from 1990.
