The product is not bad, it leaves the skin soft and smooth. The problem is that over time it oxidizes, turns yellow and stains the skin, each time it is applied.

Pricey product and although I do think it helps to keep more pimples from forming, I don't notice much difference in skin brightening or lines/wrinkles. I'm not sure I would purchase it again.

I will receive a free full-sized Silymarin CF for posting this review. I'm in my fifties and have had sensitive acne prone skin since I was 12 yrs old. Based on a sample I received from LovelySkin, I been using SkinCeuticals Silymarin CF for about 2 months and the jury is still out on if my skin is benefitting from it. Since receiving the sample, I've purchased the full size- I know these things take time. Since my skin is sensitive I need to use it minimally to avoid irritation but unfortunately the pipette is designed to drop a very large volume of expensive product. I hope SkinCeuticals considers changing this. I actually poured the full size product into the sample container (which included a small better designed pipette) for better control. No one likes to pour their premium serum and money down the drain.

I think this is a good product. It definitely did help with breakouts. I do not like that the second ingredient is denatured alcohol. I did find the product a little irritating if I used it every day so I started using it every other day and that worked well. I have rosacea so I tend to react to vitamin C products. I'm going to try other vitamin C serums to see if I can get the benefits without using this product with so much SD alcohol.

I was thrilled to see that SkinCeuticals was addressing acne prone aging skin with this product. I have been using SkinCeuticals CF Phloretin Serum, followed by the Acne & Blemish serum to fight aging and balance my acne prone skin. At this point I will continue with the CF Phloretin. The Silymarin CF immediately gave me millia/ multiple small whitehead type pustules. When I get my nerves up I may try it again, however for now I will stick with my previous regimen.
