I originally bought this cream on sale on another site as a gift for my husband to try. He tends to break out easily, but this cream never made him break out, and he liked it so much that he asked to buy it again, when he used it all. It is not heavy, and does the job of moisturizing the face. It is ideal for the windy winters we have in NJ

He has easily irritated skin, especially around the hair follicles after shaving and if the hair grows too long. I think this got him a close shave and whatever ingredients are in it looked like they helped to soothe his skin and moisturize some. The cooling was not bothersome to his skin.
